Sous Chef's Corner
With a blink of an eye the summer is almost over. My how time flies when you’re sweating in a hot kitchen. I can’t believe that it is almost time for football season. It has been a great year for business and member events. The Magee’s have planned a very special sendoff for Jimmy Buffet night (electricity permitting) so make your reservations soon as I am sure it will sell out.
Lorraine Matalucci, Past Commodore Janis Abraham and I have added some very hard to find Olive Oils from Italy as well as Saba (aged sweet balsamic dressing) and 20 year old cherry wood balsamic vinegar to the Ship’s Store. Coming from a real foodie, these are the very best products in the world and I 100% guarantee you won’t find them anywhere else but in our store. An absolute must have for the serious cook.
The dining room will be open the first two weeks of September on Wednesdays and Thursdays from 5 pm to 7 pm and we will be serving up an Eagles tailgate party on Sundays, so don’t miss any of the excitement.
I would like to thank Commodore Hufner and his wife Roe for all their support as well as all the members for all their help and praise.
